When you think of luxury, glamour, and unforgettable experiences, Monaco often tops the list. Known for its opulent lifestyle, stunning views, and world-class attractions, this tiny principality is a once-in-a-lifetime destination for many. But is it really? Let’s explore what makes Monaco so special—and why it might just be a place you’ll want to visit again and again.

Cheapest In Europe
Maybe it is luck, maybe research, but if you don't want to spend a fortune in Monaco, you do not have to.
When we visited, we stayed in the South of France, Nice, to be specific. We stayed in an apartment-style Airbnb for about two weeks and it was totally doable to travel to Monaco for the day. We took the train and even rode our own Vespa into the quaint country of Monaco to enjoy the scenery without breaking the bank.
The Food
The food there was very well done and not out of the world expensive. Actually, at the restaurant, Le Comptoir, there was 10 Euro Margherita pizza which was a total hit and absolutely delicious! Honestly, unbeatable.
A bar that we thoroughly enjoyed visiting was MCB, or Monte Carlo Bar. Yep, a classic. And here you can try the local beer, MCB!
We also walked up to the Prince's Palace where there are plenty of little restaurants and gelato shops, and you can even get some delicious Nutella or caramel crepes! I would recommend grabbing some gelato to go and walking through the narrow streets. The top of the hill near the Prince’s Palace can feel a bit touristy, with souvenir stands and crowds snapping iconic photos of the port, but it’s definitely a must-see.
The Scenery
Exploring the city on foot, by car, or on a Vespa was incredible, offering countless picture-perfect views. The harbor brimming with yachts, the stunning architecture, and even the parks in Monaco were all exceptionally beautiful.
If you decide to start your journey from the train station, be prepared for a hilly walk across the country, but the effort is absolutely worth it. Everything in Monaco is easily walkable. Given its small size, you can take the train into town and comfortably walk to all the main attractions.
Up at the top of the hill at the Prince's Palace, you will be met with an unforgettable view, great for a photo as it encapsulates the entire country. Another must-see is the Prince's car collection. It is truly amazing and only costs ten euros for admission. You can get more for your ticket if you add a trip to the aquarium as well! When it gets rainy in Monaco, which it does, this is the perfect outing to enjoy.

So ultimately, is it a once-in-a-lifetime trip? Yes, but on the same token, it is pretty feasible to go back again. We loved traveling to Monaco as it has always been a dream, and even though it felt like we were able to see the whole country in about three days, I have a feeling we will be traveling back again soon.
